My teacher is so generous and smart. He tries to make Room 6 is learning as painless as possible. Without my teacher I wont have the courage and confidence to do things out of my comfort zone. I am thankful to have a clever , intelligent and Hilarious teacher. I appreciate my teacher because he teaches the class to try our best and to be very confident. Thank you Mr. Sok for helping me in my learning and for teaching me to never get affected by others around you. When I grow older I will always remember what you have said to my friends and I "Life can be hard but always pick yourself up".
I am a learner at Glen Taylor School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Room 6 and my teacher is Mr Sok.

Integrity
Showing Integrity
What is Integrity? Integrity is doing the right things at the right time. Integrity is also being honest by doing the right thing even when nobody's looking.
We can show integrity at school by doing the right thing even when the teachers are gone.
Can also show integrity at school by being at the right place at the right time.
We can show integrity at school by picking up rubbish even if it is not your rubbish.
Showing integrity at home.
We can show integrity at home by telling the truth to your parents.
We can show integrity at home also by picking up rubbish even if it’s not yours.
We can also show integrity by not stealing each other's devices. You have to ask first.
I feel if we all show integrity together we can make our community a better place.

Tahuna Torea Adventure
On Thursday 24th June Room 5 (next door class) went on a trip with us to Tahuna Torea. It was so exciting and also exhausting. The trip was 3 and a half hours. My favourite part was going down to the Pt England beach. I learned that there our Rat traps around Tahuna Torea because rats are predators to birds. We all saw a dead rat while we were walking.

The destroyed pencil
The destroyed Pencil
The pencil was cheap looking, it had been scratched and now it has blue paint all over it. It's saving grace was that it was sharp, very sharp. Sharp enough to pierce someone's knee and they can get really injured. I usually pretended that my pencil was like a microphone because I like to sing. It can be used for jabbing people. Teeth marks at the top from someone consuming the pencil made it look like something that needs to go to the dump. The pencil is now disgusting and damaged. My useful pencil can still write ,draw and do it’s tricks.

My BO PEEPS adventure
Yesterday room 6 had an adventure. We went to the little BO Peeps farm in the parking lot. There were 8 animals I saw. I felt so nervous at first but then I got used to stroking them. I learned that under sheep is wool it is very warm.

Matariki
Matariki
When the Matariki stars appear it is the beginning of the Maori new year
We celebrate Matariki like we celebrate our relatives' anniversaries.
Like sisters the stars shine bright like angels and ancestors in the sky.
Matariki is a time for joy like trying hard and making your family and ancestors proud.
It is a time to discover new things like learning about how people used the stars in the past, how to grow wheat and carve.
It is a time to plant crops like potatoes and kumaras.
It is a time to fish and hunt sea animals.
It is a time to make things like kites and paper stars with glitter.
It is a time to forgive and forget problems in the past.
Matariki reminds me of eating seafood. We forgive each other. During Matariki we try to make paper stars. We also tell family stories.
